Frequently Asked Questions

This work supports people dealing with pain, restricted motion, chronic tension, stress, postural imbalance, and injury recovery. It is helpful for chronic neck, back, and shoulder pain; hip and pelvic imbalance; nerve irritation patterns; TMJ and headaches; mobility limitations; and stress-related holding patterns.
It can support clients with scoliosis or structural asymmetry, pregnant and postpartum clients, athletes, and people who have not had success with traditional care. While no outcomes are guaranteed, sessions focus on restoring balance, nervous system regulation, fascial mobility, and long-term functional change. -
Depending on your session, methods may include IASTM tools, cupping, scraping, gua sha, fascia tools, somatic muscle re-education, breathwork, movement awareness, cranial decompression, connective-tissue unwinding, and manual soft-tissue methods. In clinic sessions utilize other specialized technology such as PEMF.
Sessions are fully customized. Not all tools are used every time.
Aromatherapy is included and optional. Topical magnesium may be used when helpful. Home recommendations may include somatic exercises, magnesium spray, or supportive supplements. -
You will fill out a one-time intake form. We will review your history, discuss your concerns and goals, and assess your movement or posture when needed.
I will explain what we may or may not do in the session based on your intake and assessment.
Follow-up visits include less discussion and more hands-on work. I also provide somatic re-education exercises to support your progress at home. -

Wear loose, comfortable clothing or athletic wear. Some sessions may include draping for cupping or scraping on specific areas—always based on your comfort.
In-home massage-based services include full draping at all times.
Please avoid wearing perfume, cologne, heavily scented lotions, scented hair products, or any artificial fragrances. Natural scents, essential oils, and natural candles are fine. -
Most people feel relaxed, open, lighter, clearer, or deeply restored. Some may feel mild soreness, temporary fatigue, emotional release, sinus drainage, digestive shifts, or slight dizziness if standing quickly.
These effects usually resolve within 24–72 hours, with most people feeling significantly better by day three. -
Some people resolve acute issues in 1–3 visits, especially with homework. Many prefer monthly maintenance.
Athletes and high-demand professions often come every 2–3 weeks.
Weekly sessions may be used short-term.
My focus is long-term results, not dependency. I teach somatic tools so your body can hold progress. -
Not exactly. My primary work is clinical somatic neuromuscular therapy, which focuses on nervous system retraining, releasing dysfunctional patterns, improving mobility, and advanced soft-tissue integration.
It is not a traditional massage, although some techniques feel massage-like.
Massage-forward options are available for in-home sessions (Somatic Therapeutic Massage, Somatic Deep Tissue Massage), but these still include somatic and neuromuscular methods rather than being pure massage. -
Most people find the work deeply relieving and often very relaxing. Some techniques, such as scraping or deeper trigger point work, may feel temporarily intense, but pressure is always adjusted to your comfort.
Scraping can feel more intense the first time, but it becomes easier as the tissue responds.
Cupping is typically very tolerable and often feels soothing or decompressing, even in a first session. Pressure is always customizable.
My goal is for you to feel safe, supported, relaxed, and restored. -
Cupping may leave circular “cup kiss” marks that fade in 1–7 days. Scraping may leave light marks depending on pressure and tissue quality. Neither is a bruise.
If you prefer no visible marks, I can adjust pressure, avoid certain areas, or use alternative tools. -
Hydrate with water and minerals according to your needs. Apply magnesium spray as instructed.
Somatic homework supports longer-term results.
You may text me anytime after your session with questions. -
Provide a clear space for the table—most people use a living room, in-home gym, or spare bedroom.
Please ensure access to a bathroom and avoid artificial fragrances in the home.
Natural or soft lighting is ideal. Temperature should be comfortable.
Kids are welcome if you are comfortable with them being present.
Pets are also fine as long as they are friendly and not overly interrupting.
I bring all equipment, including table, bolsters, tools, and linens.
You may play your own music, or I can provide music if needed. -
